| In 1978 when I-40 opened Seligman was close to becoming a ghost
town. Angel Delgadillo made up his mind to shape history differently,
and after years of struggle, Route 66 was proclaimed historic by the
state of Arizona. The other states housing Route 66 followed, and
the history stays; Historic Route 66 is "born" in Seligman! |

travel it, to see the authentic Route 66 to the west. Along the way
